BRUXAWAY INC. WEBSITE

A website designed to introduce bruxAway Inc.'s new night guard to treat and track bruxism.

MY ROLE

My role in this project was to create and design the website for the company. I ensured content related to bruxAway Inc.'s first new product was presentable and organized in a clean style.

UNDERSTANDING THE USER

Users are the clinicians who are interested in collaborating in the new night guard that treats bruxism.

It is imperative that the user is able to identify where to find more info on the product and navigate through the website with no issues.

Visitors should be able to clearly understand what the company is about quickly glancing at the website's landing page.

BREAKING DOWN THE PROCESS

Before starting the website, I first thought about the design workflow and planned out the steps I would take to finish the final product.

The first design step I thought of was the end goal for the website. I identified that the goal was to inform and present the new upcoming biofeedback product created by bruxAway Inc. to potential clinicians and users interested in pre-ordering the product.

Then I thought about what the structure of the site would look like, along with the brand style and the theme. I went with a clean and minimalistic design, sticking to only a few colors across the site. I also stuck to one font, Helvetica, to emphasize the simplistic feel. Continuing along, I inserted the content and visuals of the products with their appropriate descriptions. Once I had completed the design process, I moved to the last few steps.

To ensure the website structure and added interactions were running smoothly, I ensured to test it on multiple devices. I also did this along the way when designing and adding elements to the website.

LESSONS LEARNED

At the end of my design process, I truly understood the saying "showing less is more."

When I finished the structure, brand style, and content placement on the website, I finally understood the statement that "less is more" in design thinking. The users visiting the site must be able to navigate with no issues and should feel welcomed to learn more about the company and the products.

By sticking to a modern style and minimalistic theme for visitors, engagement will overall increase due to the simplistic and clean feel of the site. This brand style also reflects significantly on the company which is why it is important to think wisely on the colors and font selections.
